For many years we have been suporting TENOVUS by collecting at our St. David's Day Dinner and Service. Nichola Couceiro, the new TENOVUS Regional Community Fundraising Manager recently made contact with the site and she provided an up-date explaining their new name - Tenovus Cancer Care.

Here is a new message from Nichola:

Tenovus Cancer Care brings practical advice, emotional support and treatment to where it matters most; the heart of the community.
We help cancer patients and their loved ones cope, and through our vital research, we offer hope.

In the last year we funded £1 million of life-changing research to bring a future without cancer, a little closer.
We helped access £2.6 million in benefits and other entitlements helping to make ends meet when things were tough.
Our mobile support units travelled more than 31,000 miles bringing treatment closer to home and our FREE support line handled over 9,000 calls so no one had to cope with cancer alone.
Our ManVan visited 78 communities to support men with prostate and testicular cancer.  Our counsellors listened for 2,177 hours helping cancer patients and their loved ones cope. And 1,574 people sang their hearts out at one of our choir’s sessions.

And we couldn’t do what we do without the support of communities like yours.
A huge thank you to all those involved in the Norwich Welsh Society and all those in the local community that support their fundraising and awareness, it’s hugely appreciated.

Best wishes,

Nichola Couceiro
